Welcome the holiday of Imbolc with your The Eco Witch Seasonal Magick candle...
Imbolc marks the beginning of Spring in the Celtic calender and therefore light, fire and new life are all considered highly symbolic at this time. Also known as Brigid's day, the Goddess of fire is considered to rule this day in the calendar.
Each aspect of your Imbolc candle has been thought out carefully so that it marries perfectly together with the holiday. Each candle is subtly scented with rose and lavender (a fragrance and essential oil blend) which mirrors that of the sweet perfume of flowers we will begin to smell as we edge closer to Spring. Each candle is topped with rose petals, lavender and blue cornflower to represent the beautiful colours we can hope to see amongst nature during the brighter days of the year. Finally, each candle is adorned with a handmade clay charm which features a small handpainted snowdrop - a flower which is symbolic of Springtime.
This particular candle is the 300g size which has been handpoured in a smaller round glass jar, topped with a gold tin lid. It will burn for up to 50 hours.
Candle safety and getting the most out of your The Eco Witch Co. candle...
Prior to lighting your candle, make sure that all herbs are out of the way of the wick.
For the first time that you burn your candle, it is important to let it burn completely to the edge. This will guarantee a clean burn for each time you light your candle thereafter and will also prevent tunneling (tunneling results in wasted wax!).
In order to do this, I reccomend you make sure to burn your candle for 3-4 hours the first time it is lit, or at least until the melt pool has reached the edge.
Before lighting your candle each time, trim the wick to approximately 6mm.
Never leave a burning candle unattended, in the way of drafts or close to anything that could catch fire.
Keep burning candles out of reach of children and animals.
Discontinue use once the wax level has reached approximately 10mm from the base of the container.
